By Request: Essence - Break Through

Hi, Blogger login & commenting problems are still plaguing me.  I'll continue to respond to your comments within the next day's posts for now as a workaround.

This post is in response to another request from Lilit of Makeup and Macaroons.  By the way, Lilit it was great reading your interview with fellow beauty blogger Tiffany of Will Work for Makeup (Click here to check it out).  Lilit requested to see a mani with Essence's Break Through.  This polish is a gorgeous royal purple creme and was slick and glossy in two coats.  This vivid purple shade reminds me of a long gone favourite polish of mine (Rebel by MAC).

These pix show how the purple changes from a cool grape to warm plum under different lighting conditions.

Lamplight

This is my work mani this week because I love purple!

*Thanks Michelle and Vintage for your comments on yesterday's China Glaze haul post. I'll get Ingrid onto my nails soon.   :)

That's all for now.

  1. Yay for purple posts! Such a contrast with the lamp light. Wow I just googled MAC rebel nail polish and I could only find one image - very long gone! It looks so pretty too :-(

  2. I had the issue that nobody can see my comment box. I changed my settings so that the comments open in a pop-up window and it works.
I still have no idea what's wrong with yours :(

I like the purple without flash better :) but so cool they actually show different shades.

  5. Oh my god that colour is to DIE for. I especially like it with the flash on. I need to track me down these polishes stat. Thanks for these swatches.

PS: I'm also having blogger commenting issues, I can only comment from my husband's computer, not from my lap top... something to do about cookies.

  6. wow LOVE!
I have actually never seen Essence anywhere in Australia, not at any Priceline her in Sydney.
BUT I am going to Europe in 6 weeks so I think I may have to keep some room in my suitcase :D
