OPI: Glamour Game

Taking a brief break from COLOUR and venturing back into neutral manicure territory I found this old holiday polish from OPI in my stash, ready to satisfy my needs for something neutral with a little twist.  When I say old, I mean older than I realised actually as Glamour Game harks back to OPI's 2008 Holiday collection Holiday In Toyland! Time is most definitely flying for me!

Glamour Game is an almost white gold metallic polish, with the tiniest shimmery flecks in the mix - just enough to lift it out of the ordinary.  I applied two coats and finished with top coat to smooth it over and here's the result.  Oh yes, please forgive my weird looking pointer/index fingernail - it's the result of a rough mending job as my nail had begun to tear. I gave up and nubbinized my nails the following week!

So my year is off to a good start as I've managed to put up three posts this week - as long as I keep to a minimum of two per week I'll be more than happy with my output!

That's all for week 1, 2015!

  1. Oh, that's a beautiful shade! I love pale sparkling golds like this! Refined and elegant. I have bare nails at the moment because I can't quite decide what I want...I was thinking maybe Dior Porcelaine, but this reminds me of Zoya Jules, which is also quite pretty...

    1. I know golds can be a little over the top at times but I really view this one as a neutral - I'm going to have to Google those two shades you're talking about because you've got me curious now! :))

  2. What a pretty shade! I find golds a bit tricky to wear - sometimes they work and sometimes they don't - but this one looks like a shade of gold that I would get along with.

    1. Yes they can be too yellow or too pink! This one sits nicely in neutral territory though :)

  3. I have trouble with golds too but I think this is cool enough to work with my skintone

    1. I prefer these too. I don't think I have too many yellow golds actually, and neutral beigey golds always catch my eye first :)
