Face of Australia: After Dinner Mint (& more pastel polish bottle spam)

A few months ago all the pastel polish ranges were launching for the Northern Spring and because I was heading towards our Southern Autumn/Fall I just wasn't feeling it - I was all about berry and burgundy and just anything dark, darker and darkest.  Now finally we're well into Spring down here, our local brands are getting in on the act and - yes - with the sun making its appearance higher and brighter in the sky, I'm definitely feeling it!

Australian brand Face of Australia (aka FOA) have just launched their Pastels nail enamel range and I was completely enamored by all of the pretty gelato shades.   It was pretty tough making a choice but I walked away with 4 of the 8 shades (probably just as a start, knowing me!).  The first NOTD I'm posting from this range is the cool mint green creme, aptly named After Dinner Mint.  Every time I look at it I seriously get reminded of mint ice cream - and then I want some, lol!  This polish applied super smoothly, with no flooding or streaking and was perfectly opaque in two coats.

Before I go here's a quick pic of the shades I bought.

Clockwise from top left:
After Dinner Mint, Have Your Cupcake & Eat it Too,
Easy Peazy Lemon Squeezy,  Would You Like Some Orange Sherbet?

What's your favourite pastel shade?

Until next time.

Vita :)

  1. I've seen so many swatches of the collection! The shades are so pretty and girly! Never out of trend! My favourite shade from the range is probably that cute peachy colour! So cute!

Glad to know that the formula of After Dinner Mint is good and lives up with their past collections! (not sure if that made sense or not...)

You have beautiful nails btw! xx

    1. Thank you Tram! This polish applied particularly well - it's good to know you can buy a decent polish at around a quarter of the price of OPI. These are around $4.95 each :)

    1. Thanks Tracy! Gotta say the opacity of this polish DID surprise me. Pastels are usually disappointingly sheer or streaky but this one was really easy to work with :)

    1. I know what you mean - I usually default back to purple and dark blue at every opportunity! I really have been getting into this pastel craze though - I also have a stash of Lime Crime polishes to swatch and post :)

    1. Yes, be a rebel Liz! It's funny how strange it feels to wear colours out of season. Sometimes I'll do it and I really feel like my hands are more on show than usual, hehe! ;)

  9. I love mint shades! I have Essie Mint Candy Apple and another MAC one...they are so cheery. I'm not quite feeling pastels any more on this side of the world ;) (into deep, moody leaf shades right now), but in the spring, I love them.
