Tom Ford Nail Lacquer: African Violet

There's no need for any big introductory spiel this time so I'll get right into it.

African Violet is the second of my Tom Ford lacquer swatches and I see it as a pretty straightforward magenta-purple, violet cream.  Does it remind me of actual African Violets? Sure it does - yes my mum used to have a collection of potted African Violets so, umm, yes - that's all I have to say about that.  What else can I say about this polish? Unlike Bordeaux Lust this one is more of a true opaque cream formula and a two-coater.

Sun

And just for the obviously corny comparison a real African Violet!

Until next time.

    1. So far I'm finding these polishes do have an extra richness about the finish. Glad you like the colour too!

    1. I couldn't resist doing the comparison! If only violets were exactly this rich and vibrant in colour - nearly!

  10. I never used to be drawn to warmer violets like this, but recently they've caught my eye! Very pretty, and that cream finish is classic.

  11. This really reminds me of Illamasqua Stance, which I like, but this seems to be a lot nicer (obvs being TF helps, right?!)
