This is my first spam post and it took weeks in the making (not that I'm complaining)!
The star of this post is OPI's 18KT gold leaf top coat The Man With Golden Gun. This decadent top coat was recently released together with the current Skyfall collection. There was no way this little duck could resist the temptation of wearing real gold leaf on her nails, and since trying it for the first time I fell in love with the luxe speckled effect it added to my manicures. As a result I've been adding this gilt top coat to almost every mani I've been wearing lately, using either one or two coats depending on my mood. Now I can share my small, slightly haphazard collection of spam pics with you taken over the last few weeks. I think this indulgent top coat has the ability to lift any base polish except of course gold!

China Glaze - Electric Beat
(My favourite combo)
Wet n Wild - Ferguson Crest Syrah
Lime Crime - Once In A Blue Mousse
OPI - The Spy Who Loved Me
OPI - It's All Greek To Me
What's your favourite combo?
Until next time.
Vita :)
this one is incredible! I love combo with The Spy Who Loved Me. looks very sophisticated
ReplyDeleteIt's such a luxurious top coat! I wore The Spy Who Loved Me combo to a dinner with friends and got quite a few compliments :)
DeleteI love it with the Lime Crime and China Glaze the best! :D
ReplyDeleteYou're a woman with very similar taste to me - I love the blue and gold combos the best myself!
DeleteI LOVE this with the lim crime polish. Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie! It's like a Tiffany combo isn't it :)
DeleteAmazing! Love the second look. I don't even wear nail polish and I am too tempted to get The Man With The Golden Gun :)
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a bit of a collector's item I think - well that's what I'm telling myself!
DeleteHoly Moly, this is gorgeous! I love it!
ReplyDeletex
It's a bit more sophisticated than glitter but still lots of fun to wear :)
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I have this nail polish as well but I'm too afraid/guilty to open it lol! I figure I spent way too much than I ever should on one nail polish hahaha! But seeing these, I think I need to! Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOMG Jasmine! You NEED to wear it! I think it would look spectacular over a deep green for a festive look :)
DeleteSo COOL. I love it! I just can't FIND it here haha!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of being hard to find I have a story to tell about how I bought mine: I was in the store literally at the moment the assistant was stacking the shelf. As I picked up my bottle, a second sales assistant grabbed two bottles for herself, then as I went to the cashier yet ANOTHER sales assistant came back with a bottle for HERSELF. By the time I walked back past the shelf all the bottles were gone - bought by the staff! No wonder it's selling out so quickly :p
DeleteIt's pretty awesome. I think I like it over pastels the best, surprisingly!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely do too Larie! I just love the subtle warmth of the gold against the pastel blue :)
DeleteLove it over the Purple
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristy, I was thinking I'd like to try it over a royal purple base too :)
DeleteRight, I definitely need this! I really love the 3rd and 4th looks, but they're all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou'd get lots of use out of it - I still have so many combos I want to try myself!
DeleteIt looks amazing with blue, I wouldn't have thought to put them together xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Coco! I definitely favoured the blue and gold leaf combination too :)
DeleteSo pretty, I'm totally jelly :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Ina! xo
DeleteI like the 2nd look. The purple makes it standout.
ReplyDeleteThe contrast is fantastic against darker shades - I can see myself doing more of those sorts of combinations when summer ends :)
DeleteGORGEOUS!! This goes with absolutely everything. I gave this as a gift to my MAC Fairy since she was so generous with me. Now I wish I had snagged one for myself too. It's horrendously expensive for a polish though. Such a nice treat, Vita! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz, I'm sure MAC Fairy deserves it! I baulked at the price too ($39AUD) but figured I'd go ahead and pay the same for Chanel polish if I really wanted it and it doesn't contain gold - not that I buy Chanel polish all that often though :p
