Time for a bit o' glitter!
When Maybelline brought out their limited edition Brocades collection a few months ago I went a little crazy and bought 4 shades from the range. Glitter is clearly still a weakness of mine isn't it! The first shade I'm posting, Knitted Gold, is a flamboyant mix of large rose gold hex glitter pieces floating in a dense sea of yellow gold glitters. As I'm still loving the textured look I didn't seal this polish with any top coat and that may have been a mistake because...after 3 days the polish started chipping off in chunks, and I mean CHUNKS!

Oh well, it did look blingy for a couple of days.
Until next time
I gasped when I saw your nails, oh my gosh they are just incredible! I am so disappointed to hear that it peeled off in chunks but holy moly, I cannot resist! x
ReplyDeleteYou can understand why I couldn't resist then - so blingy!
DeleteI don't mind when glitter polish starts to peel off in chunks actually-easier to take it off haha! This is really blingy! Be perfect for holidays!
ReplyDeleteA mani like this is definitely holiday appropriate or for NYE!
DeleteHaha, Tracy's right - it does make it easier to take off, but it can be a pain to be flaking off everywhere! I really like this one! Sephora makes one that's really similar that I may have to pick up for the holidays :)
ReplyDeleteI figure polishes like these are really party polishes anyway and not meant to last - silly me for deciding on this for the week!
DeleteAt least they look good for a day or so. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the look of glitters, but hate the thought of taking them off.
This wasn't as bad as some with removal but still it takes some patience.
DeleteI think that I have this one but can't remember, lol. I picked these up one by one WAY after most stores stopped carrying them. They just looked more appealing when they weren't in your face all the time, ya know?? I think I can only wear them for 3 days tops anyway, so chipping off in chunks sounds fine to me!
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm always late to the party too these days - I decide I actually like something when it's on the verge of selling out or being discontinued. What is with that?
