Maybelline Brocades: Knitted Gold

Time for a bit o' glitter!

When Maybelline brought out their limited edition Brocades collection a few months ago I went a little crazy and bought 4 shades from the range.  Glitter is clearly still a weakness of mine isn't it!  The first shade I'm posting, Knitted Gold, is a flamboyant mix of large rose gold hex glitter pieces floating in a dense sea of yellow gold glitters.  As I'm still loving the textured look I didn't seal this polish with any top coat and that may have been a mistake because...after 3 days the polish started chipping off in chunks, and I mean CHUNKS!

Oh well, it did look blingy for a couple of days.

Until next time

    1. A mani like this is definitely holiday appropriate or for NYE!

  3. Haha, Tracy's right - it does make it easier to take off, but it can be a pain to be flaking off everywhere! I really like this one! Sephora makes one that's really similar that I may have to pick up for the holidays :)

    1. I figure polishes like these are really party polishes anyway and not meant to last - silly me for deciding on this for the week!

  4. At least they look good for a day or so. :)
I love the look of glitters, but hate the thought of taking them off.

    1. This wasn't as bad as some with removal but still it takes some patience.

  5. I think that I have this one but can't remember, lol. I picked these up one by one WAY after most stores stopped carrying them. They just looked more appealing when they weren't in your face all the time, ya know?? I think I can only wear them for 3 days tops anyway, so chipping off in chunks sounds fine to me!

    1. OMG I'm always late to the party too these days - I decide I actually like something when it's on the verge of selling out or being discontinued. What is with that?
