Canmake Colorful Nails: 10 Lavender Milk

My latest nail post features a feminine pastel from Japanese polish brand Canmake, and one of only two nail polishes I bought in Japan.  I saw so many more I could have bought - particularly from the Canmake line because they have such a pretty selection including glitter versions - but I was more focused on makeup this time, and for whatever reason I'm just not as nail obsessed at the moment.  Plus, it's amazing how much those little buggers weigh when you start accumulating them in your luggage!

Lavender Milk is an apt name for this lovely pastel polish so I'm not going to try and top it with my spin on it - milky lavender it definitely is.  Two coats applied perfectly smoothly, with no streaking or flooding at all.  Drawn as I am to purple throughout the entire spectrum, if I had to choose my one favourite pastel shade this would be right up there as somehow lavender seems to be pretty without being too overtly girly - if you know what I mean.

That's it for now :)

  1. I agree with you, purple shades are pretty but have a bit more edge to them than pinks and other typically feminine shades. This one is very pretty, but I can't believe you only bought 2 polishes in Japan!

    1. I know - what's wrong with me right?! Buying only 2 polishes is an all time low!

  2. I agree - lavender is a great pastel; I often find myself drawn to it, even though it's not really a flattering shade on me, lol!

    1. Lavender can be tricky even for me so I know what you're saying. The thing is...it's a purple so that renders me helpless to resist!

  3. You, not nail obsessed? *falls over* LOL

This one looks like perfection with your skin tone, so well done!

    1. Dang it - I'm not busting to buy nail polish like I used to!

However, I did manage to get a little excited over OPI's Coca Cola collection recently so I hunted down a couple of those shades - I think colours need to be more 'out there' these days to catch my eye ;-)

  4. This is gorgeous! I LOVE colors like this because they seem to be flattering across all skin tones. I also love it because it looks so crisp!

    1. It's very neat isn't it! The finish is very glossy and not patchy at all like some pastels can be - I was very happy with this choice of colour :)
