It's time for the second and final part of our summer beauty miniseries: the beauty "misses". This little video features a small number of products that didn't quite live up to Ling's or my expectations.
I'm going to go ahead and admit it though: I was a little harsh in my impressions of the Evodia body mist and I'm backpedalling a little now. I've discovered it does linger quite well on my skin as long as I've moisturised first! Let that be a lesson learnt. Yes, I've got a little disclaimer in the video too...
Products in order of presentation:
Evodia - Champagne Melon Body Mist Cologne
Maybelline - Dream Matte Powder
L'Oreal - Caresse Shine
Hourglass - Illusion Tinted Moisturiser
All suggestions for a good mattifying pressed powder will be gratefully accepted!!!
That's all for now.
I don't have any pressed powder recs - actually! NARS pressed powder is my fave, but I don't use it on the daily, because erm, I'm lazy, hahaha!
ReplyDeleteYou know, when I think about it, theBalm Sexy Mama was a good one but I've got to work my way through this one first before I even consider buying more!
DeleteI'm always backpedalling, lol. Sometimes it just takes a little extra time or effort with a product and then I love it to death. I'm really sorry to hear about Ling's bad experience with the Hourglass - I know there are some people who have reactions to their base products, which is really weird because I've always found them to be as beneficial to my skin as some skin care products. Oh well... maybe she should look at some Chantecaille instead! *wink wink*
ReplyDeleteI've told Ling all about the Chantecaille - and she cried! Not really but Chantecaille's definitely right up there on the luxury scale.
DeleteOMG I did have to backpedal on the body mist - oh well, at least I realized sort of in time! I could have cut it out of the video I suppose but maybe it's better I just own up to my rash judgement!
