EOTD: Purple peacock

It was bitterly cold and rainy on this ANZAC Day holiday.  We were all cosy indoors so I had some time to play with colour.  I decided to do a wearable green and purple combination using mostly MAC shades with a little Red Earth and Urban Decay thrown in.

What I used (and where!):
  • Face of Australia primer (matte) blended over the lids
  • Red Earth After Eight on outer third of lid and blended to outer V
  • MAC Vex on inner lids
  • MAC Shale on crease
  • MAC Shroom blended on browbone
  • Urban Decay 24/7 liner (Ransom) on upper and lower lash lines
  • Napoleon - Whole Lotta Lash mascara (black) on upper lashes only
 Thanks for looking!

Vita :)

  1. Oh, I love the splash of purple! I have Ransom too, and I think it's a great pop of color, especially since it seems to be an ultraviolet sort of shade versus deep purple.

    1. It's the first time I've used Ransom and I love it! I agree with you - this is a much more interesting shade than the deep eggplant purple I'd normally go to :)

  2. Love the look - Ransom is my fav eyeliner from UD. New follower here, enjoying your older posts. I liked your P10P challenge, I may have to do that myself. I have so much makeup that I never use because I keep buying more! =) I like the goal. And I like the posts of what you've used up. It's nice to hear reviews and it motivates you to use your items. I may have to do that and share my sense of accomplishment when I have an empty bottle/compact to throw away! =)

    1. Welcome Kaki! Thanks for the comment about my P10P and empties posts. I'm a bit obsessive about using things up (and telling everyone what I think!) so these posts will keep coming :)

  3. I was so excited to see you posting an EOTD! Your eyes are so very beautiful, they really are. I had work yesterday and did nothing exciting on the eyes, but am actually wearing green and purple on my eyes today! What a coincidence!

  4. PLEASE do more EOTDs! I swear you do some of the best ones. You have such a good eye for color combos that most people wouldn't think of, but they always look amazing! :) By the way, do you have Twitter? I'd love to follow you if you do!!

    1. You're making me blush again girl! I promise I'll be more consistent with EOTD posts - I've actually started an ideas list on my phone so that's gonna help. I don't have Twitter at the moment but I'm going to get something set up soon and let everyone know! xo
