In the pink with Zoya Whitney

I was back in the Spring frame of mind again last weekend as the sun was shining so I had to do pink.  And for some reason it had to be a HOT pink!

I bought Whitney as part of Zoya's Gossip collection about 2 or 3 years ago.  The Gossip collection was released for the 2008 Summer and features 6 gorgeously bright creme shades.  Whitney is a cool toned, hot pink (now that's gotta be an oxymoron!), very bright, and bordering on fuschia.  It's attention seeking but not too Barbie so I didn't feel too old to be wearing it.  The application of this polish was a total dream - it flowed on and was the perfect, easily controlled consistency.  I wish all polishes were so easy to apply *sigh*.   For reference I've applied the usual two coats, finished with a single layer of top coat.

Zoya polishes are 5 Free as they don't contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP or camphor.

That's it for tonight.

    1. It's a great pink because it's cool blue-toned but hot at the same time - yes, I love it too!

  2. Gosh, this is such a SEXY shade! Love the hot pink, it's something I would totally wear except I probably already have too many pinks!

Still, they are similar, not the same, so maybe I can go ahead and buy it! :P

LOVE Zoya polishes, they apply oh-so-smoothly!

    1. Oh, Zoya have an amazeballs formula - utterly perfect! I still have a few Zoya's sitting untried so this reminded me I must wear them. And yes, pink has many variations, hehe! :D

  6. Such a bright, clean pink! Fabulous for spring and summer. I love pastels so I tend to break those out in the spring, but summer is all about shades like this!

    1. Seems like brights are gonna be a big thing down here this Spring/Summer - I'm getting into it as early as I can!

  7. I love this colour so much, if nail polish would ever stay on my fingers for more than a day this is the colours I would wear most often!

    1. Bright nails are a quick pop of colour in spring and summer for sure :) Just wondering about your peeling polish problem - sometimes its caused by the nail itself, as natural oils and moisturisers can make your polish peel off. Have you tried OPI Chip Skip? Maybe that will help.

  8. So cheery! I always look at hot pinks during summer but rarely indulge. (I have only two that really count as hot pink: NARS Schiap and Chanel Pulsion.) Zoya has some really juicy brights like this that has me wishing for hot sun and surf. Enjoy your nice weather! :D

    1. Thanks Liz, I'm enjoying the sudden warmth of spring. It all happened so suddenly too! I've heard many good things about NARS Schiap - it's such an iconic shade. Your taste is second to none when it comes to classic choices m'lady :)

    1. Absolutely! I totally get it - that's why I said it's bright but not Barbie! Whitney's a very wearable shade of hot pink. Looking forward to your swatches too :)
