OPI: Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!

Yet another polish with one of those names.  Is it just me or are OPI going a bit more out there than usual with their polish names?  I can't see any connection with the colour at all by the name but then again - they do like to do that don't they!

Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine! is one of only two creme polishes I got from the Germany collection and I got these by default as part of the Ger-Minis pack.  I wore NNNOF as my work mani this week, and my first impressions were that I'd painted my nails with moor mud! Yes, I know what moor mud looks like because I was covered from neck to ankles in this stuff at a beauty spa a few years ago!  This polish really is the essence of mud, with it being a very dark green/charcoal.  For another take on it, OPI calls this colour a "sultry black olive". Coverage was good to go in two coats so I have no complaints about the application.   It's an interesting choice for a dark neutral although I still haven't made up my mind about it...

 What do you think?

Until next time.

  1. That is a great name, lol. Not sure if I love the colour, don't think that it is something I would wear myself.

  3. I think it's stunning, but then I love a dark, grungy polish.

    1. This is a great Fall neutral, although it kept reminding me of mud!

  6. LOL at the name of this polish. OPI does get a bit random with their names sometimes. I really like the charcoal-ness of this shade!

    1. I know Stacey, this name's right up there with A Roll in the Hague from the Holland collection! If you like cool-toned shades you'll find this one interesting - it grew on me in the end :)

  7. Honestly this name makes me choke on my coffee and snort for a full 30 seconds. But I have a theory that OPI comes up with outlandish names to get around any sort of trademark issues that seems so prevalent in the beauty industry now.

Love the shade! It's such a great "in between" sort of colour. Trying to resist the allure of the rest of this collection and hopefully the lemming will be stemmed for good in a short while. :)

    1. Don't want you wasting your coffee over this Liz, lol! Good theory re the names, and I hadn't thought too hard about the motivation other than the obvious play on location themes. Don't let me tempt you any more - but you know I probably will (unintentionally of course)...
