Australian brand Face of Australia (aka FOA) have just launched their Pastels nail enamel range and I was completely enamored by all of the pretty gelato shades. It was pretty tough making a choice but I walked away with 4 of the 8 shades (probably just as a start, knowing me!). The first NOTD I'm posting from this range is the cool mint green creme, aptly named After Dinner Mint. Every time I look at it I seriously get reminded of mint ice cream - and then I want some, lol! This polish applied super smoothly, with no flooding or streaking and was perfectly opaque in two coats.

Before I go here's a quick pic of the shades I bought.
Clockwise from top left:
After Dinner Mint, Have Your Cupcake & Eat it Too,
Easy Peazy Lemon Squeezy, Would You Like Some Orange Sherbet?
What's your favourite pastel shade?
Until next time.
Vita :)
I've seen so many swatches of the collection! The shades are so pretty and girly! Never out of trend! My favourite shade from the range is probably that cute peachy colour! So cute!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that the formula of After Dinner Mint is good and lives up with their past collections! (not sure if that made sense or not...)
You have beautiful nails btw! xx
Thank you Tram! This polish applied particularly well - it's good to know you can buy a decent polish at around a quarter of the price of OPI. These are around $4.95 each :)
DeletePretty n refreshing color .. I love pastels but somehow I think they will not suit my olive/tan skin :(, so have never tried them, but on second thoughts probably thinking I should try them ..
ReplyDeleteYou'll probably surprise yourself Saumya - I think your skintone will be flattered by shades such as peach and lemon!
DeleteWOW is that ever pretty! And opaque in 2 coats too! So hard to do that with a pastel!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tracy! Gotta say the opacity of this polish DID surprise me. Pastels are usually disappointingly sheer or streaky but this one was really easy to work with :)
DeleteOHMG - instant lemming, it's so gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAnd a flawless 2-coater - what's not to like about that!
I seriously cannot wait to see the other colors, and hope you go back to the shop for more LOL
Perhaps I already have bought some more?! - eeek!! It is a gorgeous mint green for sure! xo
DeleteThis looks fantastic on you Vita
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristy - I actually already think this one's my favourite of the lot!
DeleteOh my goodness, I have seen so many posts about these and I am desperate to get my hands on them! I love the look of 'After Dinner Mint' and 'Would you like some orange sherbet?' The minty green and tangerine is perrrffecctt :)

My favourites too Candice, especially After Dinner Mint!
DeleteLooks absolutely gorgeous! And a fresh change for all the beautiful dark colours I usually see on your blog! (Not that I'm complaining at all!)
ReplyDeleteLooks great on you!
I know what you mean - I usually default back to purple and dark blue at every opportunity! I really have been getting into this pastel craze though - I also have a stash of Lime Crime polishes to swatch and post :)
DeletePerfect minty for spring :)
ReplyDeleteI loved wearing it - thanks Ina!
DeleteOh, so bright and cheery! Maybe I'll go against the autumnal grain here and pull out a pastel for next week. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, be a rebel Liz! It's funny how strange it feels to wear colours out of season. Sometimes I'll do it and I really feel like my hands are more on show than usual, hehe! ;)
DeleteI love mint shades! I have Essie Mint Candy Apple and another MAC one...they are so cheery. I'm not quite feeling pastels any more on this side of the world ;) (into deep, moody leaf shades right now), but in the spring, I love them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larie!:) I wanted Mint Candy Apple for the longest time but never got my hands on it - wonder if it's still available?
DeleteSo fresh! I may need one or two of these myself. Thanks for the review.

These polishes are a lovely spring touch - so many lovely colours too! I don't think there's a bad one in the bunch but I had to restrict myself at least a little ;)
DeleteI love it.. I think i would go orange next. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing it right now!!! xo
