Sephora: It's Time To Rock!

I've suddenly found myself with a backlog of NOTD's to post so while I've got the time here's one for you right now!!!

It's Time To Rock! is from Sephora's Sparkling Nail Polish line and is one helluva a sparkly one alright, without crossing over to outright glitter.  The overall effect is slate grey foil which on closer inspection is wonderfully complex with blue, silver and pink sparkle.  This polish reminds me quite a bit of OPI's On Her Majesty's Secret Service but it lacks the added element of gold sparkle found in the OPI polish.  Application was a cinch with the wide, flattened brush and two coats were almost more than enough.  Pretty edgy I think!

  2. OOooh. Gimme, gimme. If I get it though, the other dark greys in my collection will be jealous. If you ever run out of It's Time To Rock! you should check out OPI Number One Nemesis and OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous.

    2. :D You inspired me to paint my nails today. I've been sporting the protein clear coat for a couple of days, but I can go grey for you. I chose Number One Nemesis (it's almost through!) and matched my tips to my toes for the first time. I must report Number One Nemesis has a silver foil base, not the dark grey foil I thought it had. Oh well, we're almost twins. <-- ha haaa

    3. Wow you must love Number One Nemesis!

It's unheard of for me to finish up a bottle of polish these days but I do have an old OPI favorite for my toes each summer that's getting pretty low in the bottle. It's called It's All Greek to Me and it's a hot pink duochrome shot with a hint of gold. I think I can bring it out for my next pedi seeing as it's spring!

    4. Well, Number One Nemesis *was* my first sparkly grey. Heh heh.
Joking aside, you're giving me too much credit for using up most of NON. I love minis, remember? NON was part of the OPI Spiderman Minis set. :)

On another note, I'm not a fan of glitter in my polish and makeup, but the multi-coloured microshimmer in NON and ITTR are in a whole other delightful realm. Sophisticated fun for my nails!

    5. Agreed! You get all the fun without the hassle of full-on glitter removal! These finishes look pretty classy too :)

  3. I sort of like shades like this, but sometimes I feel like they are on that fuzzy edge of not quite enough sparkle, and yet too much sparkle. Do you know what I mean? Haha.
