I bought some of the newly released Rimmel Glam'Eyes eyeshadows from my local Priceline to try.
According to Rimmel London "...now’s the time to start having fun with your eyes. Rimmel have made eyeshadow more exciting with their powerful silken powder formula that glides onto eyes smoothly and blends effortlessly. Your perfect shade will last as long as you can, neither creasing nor fading, making it the perfect long-wear eyeshadow."
I chose:
Urban Flower palette
Gold Rush & Backstage monos
I followed the instructions on the back of the Urban Flower palette to create the 'London look'. The result was a surprisingly sheer soft daytime look:
I deliberately didn't use primer because I wanted to see how these colours translated on my eyelids without any enhancement. In all honesty I found these a little too sheer for me, even for pastel shades I would have preferred them to be a little more opaque. This palette is fine if you're after something really subtle but not so great if you're after a decent hit of colour. The swatches suggest the single eyeshadows would provide better depth of colour, although I'm yet to try them on my eyes - will have to soon obviously! The palettes and the single eyeshadows retail at $14.95AUD and $10.95AUD respectively.
I was lucky enough to receive another gift with purchase because I'd spent over $25 on these Rimmel products. I received a Sexy Curves Mascara (Black), Stay Glossy Lip Gloss (Stay My Rose), 60 Seconds nail polish (Blue My Mind), and an Auto Exaggerate eye definer (Emerald Sparkle):
I'll let you know if I'm loving any of these in a later post.
Enjoy your weekend!

You have a really gorgeous eye color! Sorry, off topic... anyway, sorry to hear that the product was too sheer for you. At least you got a lot of nice gifts? :) Can't wait to hear more.
