REVIEW: Rimmel Glam'Eyes mono eyeshadow

You might remember I was a little underwhelmed by the performance of my Rimmel Glam'Eyes Urban Flower palette (see my earlier post here ), but I still held out hope for the mono eyeshadows I'd purchased at the same time.

Happily I can now share with you that these individual eyeshadows didn't disappoint.  I did a simple daytime eye with Gold Rush (golden sparkle) applied all over the lid and Backstage (taupe shimmer) in the outer crease and here's the result.

I applied these shadows directly to my lids without any primer so you can see the pigmentation and coverage of these are quite good for an inexpensive eyeshadow.  They applied smoothly, blended well and also stood up to a full day's wear without any creasing.

The Glam'Eyes mono shadows retail at $10.95AUD each and there's a good range of colours available - 25 in all.  Australian readers can purchase these from Priceline, Kmart, Target, Big W, Coles supermarkets and selected pharmacies.

What's your favourite budget eyeshadow brand?

Until my next post.

Vita :)

  2. @Lucy - Thanks and - Wow! - you commmented 2 minutes after I posted. That's a record!!

  3. these 2 colors make great combination. love the soft natural look.
i haven't bought drustore eyeshadows for a while. at the moment i'm crazy about eyeshadows from indie companies, which are cheaper and more variety.

  4. I like the natural look. I only wear natural looks, so I love neutral eye posts <3

Savvy baked mineral eyeshadows are buttery and really pigmented for a budget brand. You can get them from Priceline.

  5. That is a GORGEOUS look! Really makes your eyes pop :) My fave drugstore shadows are probably Wet n Wild

  6. Really pretty tone- goes great with your beautiful green eyes, pigments look great too. Likey!

  8. @prettymom - I love those indie eyeshadows you post on your blog!

@reeree - You've probably figured I'm a Priceline fiend. I'll keep my eye out for Savvy next time I'm down there(soon)!

@Vintage Makeup - Those W'n'W eyeshadows you posted are still calling me. I've got a friend heading to US soon so I think I'll cash in a favour with her!
